Features
Each Community Team Web Site may specify its own style; this includes page size,
fonts, colours, background, watermarks, and even much of the wording that appears
on each web page.
To keep the site appearing interesting and vibrant you may specify several themes;
the system will automatically change the Theme with the seasons.
The Home Page provides summaries of the content from other pages in the web site.
The system recreates this content on each visit.
You may select some items to be always present (e.g. Forthcoming Events) and allow
the system to choose others randomly (e.g. Pictures from an album) so that the Home
page is always varied and interesting.
All the Administrators specified on the system will each have their own User Name
and Password. Each Administrator could have full access rights or may be responsible
for just part of the web site.
The system will email only those Administrators appropriate to a specific task (e.g.
to approve a new Guest Book Entry).
A second database is accessible to Administrators for practice and training. The
public will never see this database (which is refreshed from the main database every
couple of days).
There is a page where you provide links to other web sites. As you add links, you
may group them by Topic.
A similar page holds useful contract details (such as address & telephone number).
You may also group these by Topic.
The system holds and displays details of Forthcoming Events. You may provide whatever
details are appropriate for an event, including email and web links or even a downloadable
file.
You also decide whether and for how long any Event will automatically appear in
the Recent Events list. It is possible to provide update information following an
event, including photographs etc.
Visitors to your web site will want to leave comments in your Guest Book. The system
emails new comments to the Guest Book Administrators so they may remove unsuitable
items.
You may choose whether the system holds comments awaiting approval or displays the
comments immediately but permits an Administrator to remove it later.
